Where to Have a Burger This Weekend

maple-and-motor-burger

It’s the weekend. Yippee! Everyone’s going out with friends and family. Where will you go? What will you eat? Well you can’t go wrong with one of the best burgers in Dallas. Here’s our list of those in the finals through the first four divisions. Try one or two and let us know what you think. You won’t be disappointed with any of these.

In no particular order since we don’t have the finalists ranked yet:

  • Rodeo Goat – Design District
  • Wingfields – On Beckley in South Dallas
  • Liberty Burger – Several Locations
  • Boulevardier – Bishop Arts
  • The Grape – Lower Greenville and only on Sunday or Monday
  • The Porch – Henderson (be careful on the sides, they were awful. Hopefully we were there on an off night. Pay a little more and get the Mac & Cheese)
  • Stackhouse Burger Bar – Gaston near Baylor Hospital
  • Blues Burgers – Mockingbird west of Love Field

Please tell the waiter and/or manager you came because of the lofty praise they received from Dallas Best Burger Hunters. And follow us at DBBH Blog and on Instagram at dallas_best_burger_hunters.

  1. I’m surprised at your comment about the sides at The Porch. My company owns that, and I’ve never had a bad side. What specifically did you get? Fries? You are right that the mac n cheese is great.

    1. Julie – I truly hope it was a bad night. We had the chips, fries and onion rings. The good thing is the burger made it to the finals so you get another chance in the playoffs. Good luck!

  2. YOU SAY:
The Grape – Lower Greenville and only on Sunday or Monday
    I SAY:
This burger should not be considered in this competition, since it is not a burger joint and you can only have it on 2 days terrible days of the week.
I would accept it as a Special Mention, but not consider it for the Best Burger in Town, due to the lack of every day availability.
It doesn’t follow the principles of a burger tradition. Go eating one on a Saturday night or on a spontaneous desire any day of the week.
I agree with most of your picks, but not on this one.
You 4 are wrong and if I were to agree with the gorup, then we all would be wrong. 😉

    1. Dr Bob – Unfortunately DBBH make the rules. The Grape has a great burger and that’s our only criteria. A burger enthusiast will eat a burger on Sunday or Monday 🙂

      1. At least get one thing right, my name is Dr.Lugo, not Dr.Bob., since my patents made the rules for my name. 😉

  3. Thanks for your research and rankings. Eager to enjoy a burger experience at the rest of the finalist venues. Very familiar with the greatness of Wingfield’s ( I should get free burgers there for all the times I have recommended) and Liberty. What your poll tells me is that far north D is desperately in need of quality hamburgers. Most are south of Mockingbird.
